Retrofit kit Bafang M400 for recumbent (Bafang)

This retrofit kit is equipped with the Bafang M400 engine. The M400 motor is torque controlled. This means that it measures the force you apply and multiplies it with the assist level you choose. This gives a more natural feeling in cycling, it is if you have a tail wind. The system is comparable with the shimano steps or bosch systems. Because these are not available as retro fit kit we have developed this system. An extra advantage is that is fully programmable and much cheaper that similar Shimano or bosch systems. 

There are 3 tube diameters available. 41mm for icetrikes, 45 mm for Nazca bikes and 54 mm for Challenge bikes, HP velotechnik and azub bikes. 

 Standard it comes with a 10,5 ah battery optional there are a 13 ah battery and a 17 ah battery.
